The Red Fort — Old Delhi
I spent April 2019 backpacking around India and Nepal with my daughter. I arrived in Delhi a few days before her and got a place stay in Pahar Ganj, down a paved alley. No taxis could get down there, you had to walk.
I explored the local bazaar as well.
One of the most memorable afternoon jaunts was over to the Red Fort on Old Delhi, a Mughal-era fort, built in 1639 by Shah Jahan, partly because I wanted to browse the stalls in the ancient covered bazaar near the Lahori Gate.
And here are the rest of the photos from my stroll about the grounds.
